Endowed Professorships

Anchoring Global Intellect in the Himalayas.

An institution is only as capable as the minds that lead it.
We have rejected the "Tenure Track" model in favor of the "Impact Track."

The Rotational Endowment Model

In the Old Model university, an endowed chair funds a single professor for 30 years. In the fast-moving world of AI, this leads to stagnation. AIAI introduces a new model:

Freshness

Our Endowed Chairs are not lifetime appointments. They are 3-to-5-year rotational positions designed to bring active industry leaders into the academy.

Relevance

Ensures that our students are always learning from someone who was building at the frontier just months ago, keeping the curriculum agile.

Connection

The Chair serves as a living bridge between the donor organization and the AIAI Do-Lab, facilitating real-world R&D transfer.

Agility

Enables the institute to rapidly shift research focus to emerging technologies (like Quantum or Bio-AI) with every new appointment cycle.

Types of Professorships

1. The Chairs of Practice Industry-Funded

Designed for our Masters in Residence—senior leaders from the private sector who run our Do-Labs.

Donor Benefit
